Solid. Good heft. Nice finish. The set screw supplied (along with it's own handy hex key) does a good job of securing the knob to my rotary encoder, which has a 6mm coarse splined split shaft. The thickness is more like 12.5mm roughly.

Very good item. Thread in knob have some dirt after manufacturing but already cleaned using a lock screw.
