I was really excited about this product, I am sorry to leave a negative review because it misses one simple thing that changes everything. I need to be able to use the light without a SIM. The light REQUIRES a SIM card to turn on and do anything. I understand you need a SIM for GPS, but you should be able to use the basic features of the light without it. I wish the product description said that the SIM turns the light on. I bought this to dual function as light during my daily commute, and GPS/security for long leisure trips. I do not want to use a SIM each day as my bike is secure at home or at work. I would use the SIM and GPS features for long bike trips and I would only need to pay for the SIM a month at a time as needed. Now unfortunately this light is useless until I take a long trip and I need to buy a different light. PS I can turn the light on by faking the SIM with a piece of plastic, but this does not last the whole trip and is very annoying. thank you for your assistance
