My mother has an older model food saver. I really like being able to freeze foods conveniently but her unit made so much noise, was very heavy and awkward to use. I researched vacuum food saving units and found this one to suit our needs. It works quickly and is quite effective. It is lightweight and easy to store. I love this little unit!
