Overall build quality seems to be excellent. In terms of picture quality this camera smokes my previous webcam. Better white balance, better contrast (though slightly harsh), better resolution and better noise handeling. Default brightness is slightly dark to my taste in dim light situation. The zoom function also work very well although it's implantation could have been better as one must go through the complete cycle to reach the starting point, which is annoying. In addition the camera does not remember the last zoom setting after disconnection. The mic quality however seems to be the major drawback. In my testing, the older webcam mic was clearly superior. Therefore, I can recommend this camera for its picture quality, but advise pairing it with an external dedicated mic for best results.
