Small speakers with a massive 1 inch coil. It's almost as big as the dust cap! Decent magnet for this speaker size. I can tell that they would sound sweet with a pair of passive radiators without even knowing their Qts. The cone is paper and should be impregnated if you want it to keep looking fresh. A light spray of polyvinyl acetate glue mixed with water should do the job. Keep in mind though that your pair might not be 8 ohms! Mine turned out to be 6 but then again that means less supply voltage and its a happy turnout as i was actually looking for 4 ohm version of these with no luck.
