These lights are okay, but not really great. I took the 1 watt 40 lux output option (to power it directly from my tsdz2, which provides limited current to the lights connection). It works, but: the rear light is not really waterproof, no rubber seal, gasket, or anything. Water will get in and will probably corrode the insides fairly quickly (no conformal coating on the board either). The beam in the front light is very narrow, so OK on the road (good for being seen), but not good at all on trails or in city with a lot of corners. The front light has a button to switch both front and back light on and off (as well as the wiring to do that). Wire length is adequate, mounting is OK too (fit my rear rack well). The rear light doesn't flash, but is quite bright (almost as bright as the front one). It's quite expensive for what is essentially an LED in an all plastic case. (you can get much nicer battery powered lights for same amount of money, just that those are not direct powered by ebike
