This is definitely has a fake FT232 chip. It may be useful for some people, but I need to change the product ID and FTDI FT Prog will not work with this cable. This is the second time that I bought a bad (fake) one through AliExpress, so I won't make that mistake again. A year ago, I bought a cheap one through a well-known auction site and it woks. On a positive note, the shipping was incredibly fast
