The solder is shiny, but doesn't flow well and gets "pasty" after a few seconds. This doesn't change even when adding additional flux. If I add a little bit of a different (known good) solder I already have, it starts to flow. I doubt that the alloy is 63/37 lead/tin solder, because the melting point also feels higher than it should be for leaded solder.
