The LED's work, but are definitely dimmer compared to 5050 leds. The pcb is also narrower, and hard to solder to (solder doesn't stick on). The white versions have pretty bad CRI as well. Overall, it's cheap, but get 5050 or even better 5054 LED's instead for better brightness and CRI. These are better then the older 3528 versions, and more efficient though, so at least there's that.
