The extender does not support Japanese Wi-Fi Channels (13,14), which makes it rather unuseful in Japan. The setup is easy, but only covers the very basic standard case. Too bad that there is no advanced setup menu (that let's you select the region for example). I had bad results when testing, forcing my router on the extenders supported channels, but this could be because of too many other wifis on those channels (around 30 - #crowdedAsia). In less populated areas, where only Channels 1-10 are expected to be used, this product might work better.
