I found another review that has a similar issue to me. At first it appears to be working fine, the battery lights flash as it charges the batteries. Once the batteries are charged the light stops flashing, but even though you get 4 solid lights I believe the pi is now running on the batteries. After a few hours it just powers off, still with 4 leds to show the batteries are full. The only way to recover is remove and replace the power cable then it will start charging the batteries again from the first led as if they were empty, the cycle then repeats. I have tried two different PIs and they both had the same problem. This is with brand new batteries. I even bought some different NCR 18650 batteries but these were too long to fit. Very disappointed after so many other good reviews.

I found my Raspberry multiple times switched off or this UPS device has stopped charging. It started working again after I replugged power source or when i pressed button "power on". However this is not how UPS should work. Wasted my money.
