I've tested received SS54 (5A 40V) diodes for its forward characteristic to ensure they are OK. And it does not correspond to typical SS54 datasheet. But perfectly fits for typical SS14 (1A 40V) datasheet. See the image with measurements I made. I'm measuring initial (instantaneous) voltage drop directly on the diode, not including wire's voltage drop. Also tested V breakdown and it is >40V. So it is cheap & weak SS14 (1A) diodes marked as SS54 (5Amps). Received full refund though.
