The camera is great for its price. It has some convenient settings, probably the most important are exposure time and white balance. It really has 5 MP, but it seems to be rather for taking pictures. Live view at 2 MP is smoothness though. The reduction lens is ok, I like the rubber ring as it allows for positioning the camera at an arbitrary height (the rubber fits tight in the tube) so you can set it up in such a way that the image in the camera and the eyepieces is in focus at the same time. The camera works without any additional drivers on ubuntu, all the options are accessible from the OpenCV. The package was properly secured, nothing was damaged, etc. It also arrived quite fast. I'm attaching snapshots from the live view. The first one is daphnia from my pond and the others are blood cells and pine leaf from professionally prepared slides.
