material is plastic, not metal I've ordered 58mm, it is perfectly fitted the lens, but hood it self doesn't have internal thread in order to use with filter together. additionally, original lens cap (canon) doesn't fit hood, lens left open without protection

62mm hood is actually loose on Tamron's 62mm lens. cannot be fastened, it falls out by itself. At least cheap.
