Works well. Be aware the lock needs to engage into the receiver plate as it needs to detect the magnet. If you don't have room for the receiver section the front does come off (with a bit of gentle persuasion) and you can mount that flat receiver plate wherever you need it. The magnet is in the flat plate, not the bulky part which is surplus.
