Its plastic. Read before you buy. This is NOT metal painted black, as it looks in picture. I cant say if they are good or not as im afraid to put them on. Don't feel right replacing a metal piece with a plastic one. Im sure if the plastic is better it be standard on the printer as its cheaper to produce. Also the screw holes are not treaded. Only the Z rod hole has a tread. Not sure how I feel, they were cheap and I got what i paid for.
