As expected not a real Cree XM-L. Has three wires and a smaller die. Has around 75% brightness of a genuine XM-L using my phone as a lux meter. But it is priced lower. The star it is mounted on is thin so keep that in mind in regards to the height. The height is a lot lower than a Cree XR-E so probably won't be a suitable upgrade unless you can find a shim to raise the height.
