Had 6 of the 12.7mm and 6 of the 25.4mm balls from this company. After checking the prism constants I did some resections of the same control (around 40m from the setup) altering the ball locations to compare for consistency and got differences of 0.2mm. which can really just be put down to observation error. Also conparing the same control surveyed with both sizes yeilded good results, again with the worst errors around 0.2mm The constants I have got from my checks so far are 12.2mm for the 1" prism, and 29.7mm for the 1/2" prism. Worth a punt.
