The Backup unit actually works it is backing up my router 2.5a for a 6 month with no problem (power were interrupted about 5 times for a 1 hour or so). good item to have, thank you
Came with the switch turned ON and dead batteries. The charge current with no load is 0.25-0.27 A. After charging for a couple of minutes it seems to be working and outputs 12.22 V without any load which is ok. Hoping that it features a battery discharge protection and the batteries haven't got damaged by the deep discharge. The manual clearly states that it should be stored in the OFF position and charged periodically. With 1A load, the voltage on the output drops from 12.33V to 11.55V when the Input power is connected. The voltage from the batteries drops from 12.22V to 12.11V.
