This is a decent little player with pretty good (not amazing) audio quality. The built in equaliser settings have only a minor effect on the sound quality, which is bit of a shame, but generally the sound is warm and detailed with no areas extending too far. Build quality is exceptional - VERY high quality, no complaints there. It feels solid and heavy. The UI is easy to use and is a little bit slow, but perfectly useable. Where this disappointed me was the 4000 song limit in the MUSIC menu. WHY do they do such STUPID things? Phone's don't have such limitations, so why does a DEDICATED music player? - absolutely ridiculous. I have 7200+ songs on a 128gb card and this won't play over 3200 of those in the library. CRAZY. The ONLY way to access ALL your music is through the 'FOLDER' option, which DOESN'T have settings for ARTIST, ALBUM etc, making navigation through thousands of songs a MASSIVE PAIN. A great player for a 'small' music collection, but infuriating for a REAL music fan.

This is a great little player for it's price, but some ESSENTIAL fixes are needed to make it EXCELLENT. The 'Folder view' is terrible, NO album option, NO artists option and ALBUM Songs are NOT displayed or played in order and there is no sorting option. These flaws show RUIZU really have NO IDEA what makes a player really great. It's just a frustrating experience all round.
