The pressing force is just fine, not very strong, as I like. Moving parts work ok, movements are very accurate. It could be brass because the magnet does not affect it. Only the spring is magnetic. The plastic case can`t be removed, so better not to try to solder them. Use a banana plug. Clamps are very cool. I would buy it some other time.
