It works fine, there is a extra bit on the side, probably it's designed for hp etc. But if we just want a simple universal adapter that converts 2.5 to 3.5, just chop this little bit off. Then it's perfect to be used in a 3.5 bay, we may also need to manually push a bit to make sure it's firmly plugged to the internal socket, besides that, pretty happy and good product! Recommended!
