I was, for some reason, expecting these to be thicker. They're literally paper thin, and thin paper at that! So, they arrived kind of creased, and didn't lie flat in the pan. It doesn't look like something I 'd want to cook on. Just for giggles I put them in a frying pan and turned some low heat on. They didn't smell like burning plastic like they look as if they would. I also noticed that they let oil pass through, but moisture beaded on them, which could have interesting effects on cooking. I'll try to convince myself that I won't get cancer from cooking on these, or that there is some advantage in doing so. Ordering these seemed like a good idea at the time
