This is not VL6180X. This is VL6180, without ALS functionality. See attached picture - on the left, genuine 6180X with ALS window in the middle-right (the biggest circle). This part is standard 6180. However, the ALS (and little higher price for 6180X) is the only difference between these two, so it still should be usable as normal 6180 distance sensor. 2 stars, not 1, because the difference is not big, but still - be aware that if you're looking for 6180X because you want ALS functionality, this is not it. Check for the ALS window.
