BUYER BEWARE !!! This should have been labeled as a child's fishing rod. It is simply unusable for most adults I think. I really like the fishing reel and the rod initially impressed me with the very well made ceramic disc inserts for the fishing line guide. But then I extended the rod and took it in hand and the handle is so short it will be incredibly uncomfortable to use this for the hours actually involved in ice fishing for an adult. Children in my experience will never have the patience to use it for that long. All in all I think this is a very nice children's toy falsely marketed to adults.
