These are clone chips and they do not work. I Have MSGEQ7's I bought from Sparkfun which work. When these are substitued into the same circuit they don't work.

ordered two, neither works, differently marked msgeq7 IC arrived - MSGEQ7 1902, shouldn't matter, but not functioning in standard circuit
