Exactly what I was looking for - I'll use it to check mixing desk outputs. I can't figure out how I would get inside it if I wanted to change the wiring, but it seems solid as it is. Nice and compact. Please note: this adaptor is perfect for what I need it for BUT if I wanted to convert an XLR output to a minijack input (e.g. for a camera) then I'd use a different device - It's not designed for splitting a mono signal into a stereo LR input.
