tested one of the two pieces. worked fine. I was able to desolder from circuit board by cutting the PCB into single pin sections with a small hacksaw. I could then desolder one pin at a time and remove that section of PCB. a bit of effort, but my manual solder sucker and my hot air rework station didn't work.
