I still need to play it in of course. I trimmed the bridge and filed the nut grooves slightly to get the action height I wanted and put on synthetic strings. It is very bright, but I do not think it will be too bright. It appears to have the sound quality of about a $1200 retail violin in the US. And it is beautiful as well. I recommend this instrument.
