The motor-gearbox was wrapped in foam, but had slipped out of it's protection and was flopping around in the bag because the open ends of the foam were not taped shut. The motor terminals were bent over - possibly because they were not protected during transit. I have tested the motor, and it worked great, but I am conscious that the terminals are very small and may have been weakened. I will need to take care not to bend them again lest they break and the motor will be useless. I would have given the store 5 stars had the motor been packaged with more care.
