The Lathe arrived. It really is miniture size. I payed for better shipping but it was sent with China post and taxed. The power brick is crackeling and is really light.
Decent little unit for the price. Powerful motor and the power supply has a switch to control the motor speed. I'm going to use it with small cutoff blades as a trim saw for carving agate and jade, and it will work well for that purpose. Shipping 21 days.
The power supply is insufficient to run the motor. After about 20 minutes using diamond carving blades on agate I burned out the power supply, which is rated for under 100W. The power supply may work fine with less load on the motor, but is not suitable to any heavy use. Thankfully I have more switching adapters laying around, but now I don't have a variable voltage output control to adjust the motor speed.
