The silicone is a little bit stiff, but still flexible enough to be useful. I wouldn't try to run this at 240W. I fed it 6V from my bench power supply and the heater pulled about 6A (36W). The red wires are fairly small and got hot after a few minutes of use. Heated up quickly and worked well for my application.
