It's a fun product to use the old dvd drive from the laptop again. It is working with my Acer E3-531 with the USB cable only. I don't need the external power supply. The only downside was that the front plastic cover had a broken plastic mount piece. The box in which it was sent, was also not looking to good anymore. I used some double side sticking tape to solve this. It took about a month to reach Holland and another month to reach my adres.
