All 10 units are failed! I tried to use them as adjustable voltage regulators as per a really simple circuit proposed in the LM338T specification using a resistor (220 Ohm) between pins 1 and 2 and a potentiometer (5k Ohm) between pin 1 and ground. No change in Vout occurred by changing pot value.
