The metal contacts inside that are used for the europe type of plugs, are made from very thin metal sheet, so they lose their springiness just after the first insertion :( Using the US plug doesn't seem to have the same issue
As long as you only use the small width europe plug, the metal connection stays sufficiently firm. It's once you use a big sized plug that makes them loose.. Plastic is very good quality btw
