All real fur, some bigger or smaller than others, but you can combine two of the same color to make one fluffier ball. The 2.5 cm are very small, next time I would go a bit bigger. In my photo, the green ones are one 2.5cm ball each. The white and black balls are 2.5cm + 2.5cm balls combined.
