The light is quite powerful in a narrow projection. Good for lighting up a gate or some other point of interest. But be aware that it is 850nm IR and has a VERY pronounced red glow when its on. Anyone will be able to see the glow from a considerable distance away. As long as that is not a problem for your application, this light could be a good choice.

Very powerful. I can see clearly 70m with my DIY NV. I have to try later how far can be seen with this 30deg version.
