The screen is either not the original one or defective, since there was a thick border around the working pixels. On my original screen, the border is barely visible. around 3mm each side. see the screenshot :/
After a discussion with the vendor, it turned out there are two versions of the Xiaomi display, and the one I've received is the older one, even though the parameters are the same. Unfortunately, this is not clearly stated in the announcement, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered this screen. Esthetically, the new one looks better.
